Survey on Fundraising from the Irish Public

Total Fundraising and Whitebarn Consulting are currently working on an initiative to encourage non-profit organisations to raise more funds from the general public. At this point input is being sought from non-profit organisations in the form of a short online questionnaire. All completed questionnaires being put into a prize draw for €250, to encourage as many organisations as possible to take part.

Background

With 'traditional' sources of funding increasingly harder to secure - be that in the form of statutory grants or foundation supports etc. - it is clear that the need to secure alternative sources of funding is essential for non-profits that are struggling to provide their services to those that need them most.

Total Fundraising, a provider of a wide range of fundraising services to the sector, is seeking to identify how non-profit organisations throughout Ireland are using individual giving as a method of generating income and, where this is not being used, to understand why this is so. The longer-term aim of the initiative is to help identify and develop solutions to the funding problems being faced by the sector. This is why getting the input of as many non-profits organisations as possible is so important.
