"Spreading the Wealth" Philanthropy Conference on 19 November in Dublin
Philanthropy Ireland, in association with STEP Ireland, announces Spreading the Wealth: The business of philanthropy. On 19th November, this half day conference will explore the role of professional advisors in encouraging planned giving. Speakers include: Martin Brookes, Chief Executive of New Philanthropy Capital; Mark Evans, Head of Family Business and Philanthropy at Coutts & Co. and Paraic Madigan, Partner, Private Client Department, Matheson Ormsby Prentice.
Colin McCrea, Senior Vice President of Atlantic Philanthropies, will chair the event that will include a panel discussion with presenters and Tina Roche, Chief Executive, The Community Foundation for Ireland, and Liam O’Dwyer, Chairman of Philanthropy Ireland.
Conference fees are €150 for members of STEP Ireland and Philanthropy Ireland and €200 for non-members.

Founded in 1998, Philanthropy Ireland is the Association of independent philanthropic organisations in Ireland, including grant making trusts and foundations. Its overarching goal is to grow and support philanthropy in Ireland.
STEP is a unique professional body for professionals specialising in trusts and estates, and related issues. It has over 13,000 members worldwide. STEP Ireland was formed in October 1998 and has actively promoted a greater understanding of the issues surrounding philanthropy in its educational role. It has also participated in a detailed commentary to Government on the Charities Bill 2007.
