Silver Surfer Awards 2011 Open for Nominations

Age Action Ireland, in partnership with Google, are looking for people over the age of 50 who have an interesting story about how they use their computer, internet and mobile phone use. People who are enthusiastic about technology and would be good ambassadors and role models for older people and who you would like to see get an award.

Google Silver Surfer 2011 Award with Age Action - A person over the age of 50 who embraces the internet or technology with a sense of fun and adventure.

Most Dedicated IT Learner Award - individual over the age of 50 who has overcome challenges to become IT savy.

Social Networking Award - someone over the age of 50 who uses IT for social networking or communicating.

Hobbies on the Net Award - individual over the age of 50 who uses the Internet to pursue their passion or hobby.

IT Volunteer(s) of the Year - an individual or group of individuals of any age who provide support to teaching older learner.

Golden IT Award - individual over the age of 100 who uses technology in their life.

Family Tutor Award - an individual(s) under the age of 50 who have helped teach IT to a family member over the age of 50.
