National Awards for Excellence in Fundraising 2016

The 2016 FI Awards for Excellence are open for nominations. 

The awards recognise the outstanding initiatives and innovative efforts of fundraisers, volunteers and organisations. They celebrate fundraisers’ hard work and successes across the year, provide an opportunity for acknowledgement by your peers and promote the role of fundraisers in improving our society.

Shortlisted finalists will be announced in March 2016, with the winners announced at the Fundraising Ireland Gala Awards Dinner, Friday 8th April 2016 in Dublin.

2016 Award Categories:

Most Innovative Fundraising Campaign

This award will be given to the Most Innovative Fundraising Campaign. A fundraising campaign is defined as a specific, planned and focused series of marketing and fundraising activities used to achieve funding objectives for a specific cause or organisation. 

Big Impact, Small Budget

This award recognises effective campaigns that demonstrate a significant impact for a relatively small financial investment. A fundraising campaign is defined as a specific, planned and focused series of marketing and fundraising activities used to achieve funding objectives for a specific cause or organisation.

Best Use of Direct Marketing 

This award will recognise the campaign that demonstrates the best use of direct marketing in fundraising for campaigns created in-house or in partnership with an agency.

Best Use of Digital in Fundraising 

This award will recognise the most exciting, innovative and effective use of digital in fundraising in Ireland.

Best Use of Events

This award will recognise the fundraising event that demonstrates the best use of resources, partners, volunteers and team effort to ensure optimum fundraising return.

Best Use of Legacy Fundraising

This award will recognise the campaign which demonstrates innovation linked to success in the best use of legacy fundraising.

Best CSR Programme 

This award will recognise the most successful Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by a commercial organisation with an office in Ireland.

Best Corporate Charity Partnership

This award will recognise the most successful partnership between a charity and a commercial organisation.

Supplier of the Year

This award will recognise the best supplier to a non-profit organisation who has delivered exceptional service by assisting fundraisers to meet and exceed their income targets through a range of innovative and competitively priced activities.

Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year

This award will recognise the volunteer who has shown the greatest commitment and made an exceptional contribution to achieving your organisation's fundraising objectives.

Fundraising Team of the Year

This award will recognise any fundraising team or department that, through teamwork, has achieved considerable and recognisable success in respect of fundraising activities which took place during the organisations last financial year.

Professional Fundraiser of the Year

This award will recognise the individual fundraiser who, in the view of their peers, has shown consistent excellence and best practice in achieving high quality fundraising through innovation, creativity and hard work.

Best Emerging Fundraiser

For a fundraiser who, in the last three years has shown aptitude, ability and success beyond their experience. The nominee should have worked as a fundraiser for less than three years. Nominations should describe how the nominee has had a major impact on the organisation for which they work.

People's Choice Award

The final category, The People's Choice Award, is the most important as YOU get to choose the winner! Once all categtories have been judged and the shortlisted finalists are listed on the FI website YOU can cast your vote to decide the 2016 People's Choice Award.

  • National winners announced: The Fundraising Ireland Gala Awards Dinner, Friday 8 April, 2016 in Dublin.
