Meet Your MEP Candidates and Help Shape Europe's Future - Dublin, 14 May

On 23 May you will have the opportunity to cast your vote in the European Parliament Elections.

But do you know who you will be voting for? How will you decide?

You are invited to hear candidates’ views on the economy, environment and social issues at The Wheel's European Election Hustings on Wednesday, 14 May from 1.30 to 4.30pm in the Croke Park Conference Centre, Jones's Road, Dublin 3 (see a map here).

Entry is free and lunch will be provided.

The candidates will be sharing their policies on key issues such as the economy, environment and social issues, and members of the public and representatives from community and voluntary organisations will also have an opportunity to air their views.

The outcome of the meeting (which is being organised by The Wheel, a national network of 950 community and voluntary organisations in association with the European Parliament Office ) will be published and presented to the political parties and the candidates ahead of the 2014 European Parliament elections.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Ivan Cooper, Director of Advocacy at The Wheel said: “Brussels may be a long way from Cork, but decisions taken by the European Parliament have a direct impact on local communities. This meeting is a unique opportunity for individuals and local groups to help shape the priorities of the European Parliament for the next five years,” said Mr Cooper.
