ICB Now Inviting Applications for 2014 Fund

Applications for funding from the International Charity Bazaar (ICB) are now being invited. The ICB is the Diplomatic Corps in Ireland’s fundraising body, which supports Irish registered charities each year with funds raised from two annual events – the Diplomatic Ball in May and the Charity Bazaar in November – organised and run by members of the diplomatic and local community in Dublin.

Deadline for applications is 31 March 2014

ICB likes to support community projects with a defined time frame and quantifiable outcome. In 2013 ICB helped fund an outdoor gym for adults with autism, a therapeutic garden for children with disabilities, a children’s palliative care information hub for hospices, a facelift for a club for adults with mental health issues, and a respite playgroup for babies & toddlers with special needs. All the projects the ICB supported are based in Ireland, although it will also consider any that are a response to an international crisis caused by a natural disaster.

Please note the following:

  • Closing date for receipt of applications is 31 March 2014
  • Only Irish registered charities may apply
  • Maximum funding of €20,000 per project
  • No funding for salaries or bursaries
  • Projects should be Ireland-based unless part of a response to a natural disaster or emergency.
