Heritage Council 2015 Grants Scheme Now Open

The Heritage Council has announced that it is now open for 2015 grant applications, with the sum of €600,000 allocated to it's Community-based Heritage Grants Scheme. 

About the Scheme

The objective of this scheme is to support community-based projects that contribute to one or more of the following three themes: 

This scheme covers:

  1. Researching the heritage of towns, villages and landscapes
  2. Enhancing through good management practice, the heritage of towns, villages and landscapes 
  3. Raising awareness of the heritage of towns, villages and landscapes for inhabitants and visitors. 

Applications will be accepted from not for profit organizations, local community groups, heritage and preservation societies, local authorities, statutory organizations, academic institutions and private companies and individuals. 

The maximum grant award is 75% funding of total project cost up to a maximum of 7,500 euros.
