Goodcharity.ie answers common questions about charities

A new website was launched this week to help answer many frequently asked questions about Irish charities. The website, goodcharity.ie tackles many of the perennial questions about charities that often surface in the media and public discourse, such as:

  • Why are there so many charities in Ireland?
  • Why do many charities pay their workers?
  • What should a charity spend on overheads and administration?
  • How can I tell a good charity from a bogus charity?

The  website is a collaboration between Dóchas, Fundraising Ireland, The Wheel, Total Fundraising and Whitebarn Consulting. The aim of the project is to enhance the debate around charities in Ireland, and to provide the public and media with accurate information about how charities operate.
