Fundingpoint.ie to Get a Makeover

The Wheel has announced that it will be launching an innovative new online hub for community and voluntary organisations on Tuesday, 11 May. The new website will integrate the organisation's existing websites, including Fundinpoint.ie.

What this Means for Fundingpoint.ie Subscribers

Subscribers to Fundingpoint.ie will continue to enjoy access to the same features and tools as are currently available on Fundingpoint.ie. There will however be a few changes to the layout of the website, all of which will be explained in new tutorial videos once the revamped website launches in May.

The www.fundingpoint.ie web address will still work and all existing subscriber login details and bookmarked content will remain intact. The only essential difference will be that in addition to the new-look of Fundingpoint.ie, you will also be able to instantly access additional resources from across the rest of the new Wheel website.

The new Wheel website will also introduce number of additional innovative features, including:

  • a new interactive space where users can exchange information and advice;
  • a new searchable database of training opportunities;
  • a jobs and volunteering section;
  • an online shop where you can book for events or buy publications;
  • a fully searchable directory of community and voluntary organisations;
  • a new year planner function to help organisations plan their national fundraising days and national events.

The Wheel's CEO, Deirdre Garvey, said that not only will the new website be the most comprehensive source of information and resources for the sector, it will also provide a unique forum to exchange information and ideas: "The Wheel has researched the information and support needs of community, voluntary and charitable organisations and we believe that this new service will be an indispensable resource for the sector", she said.

We will keep all subscribers and readers posted on these forthcoming changes in future issues of the Fundingpoint.ie Newsletter and in the Fundingpoint.ie news.
