The Arts Council, in cooperation with the European Cultural Contact Point (CCP) will be organising an EU Funding Information Day on Monday 12 October 2009 in Dublin with a specific focus on youth arts. Find out how to register to attend...

The conference will take place in the European Commission Representative Office on Dawson Street, Dublin 2. (The precise time has yet to be confirmed.)

The day will include:

  • Presentation by the CCP about the EU Culture Programme, which supports cultural co-operation in all fields of the contemporary arts and cultural heritage, with the exception of film and cinema, which is supported by the MEDIA Programme. The Culture Programme runs from 2007-2013, with annual calls for proposals, and aims to promote transnational mobility of artists and people working in the cultural sector; transnational circulation of artistic and cultural works and products; and intercultural dialogue;
  • Presentation by Léargas about the EU Youth in Action programme, which aims to develop the needs of young people (aged 13 to 30) in over 30 countries by providing funding and support for development of specific activities and objectives through non-formal learning with young people and their youth workers/leaders;
  • Some examples of successful youth arts applications from previous rounds; Networking opportunities. This presents an excellent opportunity to explore international opportunities for yourself, the artists and practitioners you work with and importantly, the young people taking part in your programmes.
