Entries Now Open for Young Filmmaker Award

Better Together is challenging young people between the ages of 13 and 18 to enter the Young Filmmaker Award and show why it is better to tackle challenges together.

For example, your video can focus on any of the following:

  • how we can solve a social or environmental issue (for example bullying, discrimination, poverty or climate change etc.)
  • how young people are making a difference in the world around them
  • how a local community group or club is making a difference

You can work alone, or get a group of up to five mates to help you make your blockbuster. Be creative, but stick to these basic rules:

  1. Your video must be shorter than two minutes
  2. You, or everyone in your group, must be between 13 and 18
  3. You need permission from your parent/s (or legal guardian/s) to enter
  4. Don’t use music or images without permission.

You don’t have to be pro to enter. This competition is open to anyone with a bit of creativity and some very basic kit. Check out the free guide to get you started.
