Primary schools all over Ireland are being invited to register to take part in the spelling challenge where 12 schools will be selected to participate in a contest live on air with quizmaster Ryan Tubridy. The winning school will receive a fully stocked library of books worth €15,000.
“The Eason Spelling Bee is designed to be a fun and engaging way for children and schools to interact with the English language,” said David Field, head of marketing and retail development at Eason. “The ability to spell is an important building block for reading and writing and the promotion of a literate society. We are delighted to be able to support the wonderful work being done by teachers in schools all over Ireland and hope that the Eason Spelling Bee will help to make spelling even more exciting for children“.
Eason is currently developing an online family resource to support parents and children in learning to spell in a fun and interactive way at home which will be launched in the new school year.
