Dublin Bus Launches Community Spirit Awards

Dublin Bus is pleased to unveil the new identity for its programme supporting voluntary and community groups in the Greater Dublin Area; Dublin Bus Community Spirit Awards.

The Awards were launched last week by former Irish International footballer, Niall Quinn who travelled to the Capuchin Day Centre on Dublin Bus, this is the 9th year of the company’s programme which awards grants to voluntary groups across Dublin. Since 2003, Dublin Bus has helped over 1,300 community and voluntary groups located across its network.

Through the Community Spirit Awards, Dublin Bus provides these groups with support to develop new projects, grow services and help raise community spirit in their local community.

How To Take Part

Any group that is located where Dublin Bus operates its services is eligible to apply. Each application is judged independently and successful groups will be awarded grants of €5,000, €2,000 or €1,000. 

The deadline for applications is Friday, 6 July @ 5pm. 

Voluntary groups who work in the following areas can apply to the Community Spirit Awards: 

  • Children and Youth
  • Sport 
  • People with Disabilities 
  • Older People 
  • Environment and Local Community 
  • Education e.g. alcohol, drugs, literacy or health.

The deadline to apply is Friday, 6 July @ 5pm.
