This year’s National Volunteer Management Conference takes place on Thursday, 8 October in Dublin Castle. It’s a great opportunity to learn about best practice in volunteer management, hear some excellent speakers and network with other volunteer managers.

The keynote address will be delivered by George Thomson, CEO of Volunteer Scotland, who will discuss the importance of putting the health and wellbeing of volunteers at the heart of volunteer management.

A host of Volunteer Centre Managers will be running workshops on the day along with Social Media Expert Anna Pospieszynska and Manager of volunteer-led organization Serve the City, Alan McElwee.

Topics that will be covered include quality in volunteering; garda vetting; social media; rural volunteering and involving older volunteers.
