Boardmatch Ireland Announce Date of Next Chair and CEO Training Day

Following the success of their earlier 'Understanding the Role of the Chair and CEO' training day in 2011, Boardmatch Ireland are happy to announce that its next Chair and CEO training day will be 28 May, 2012.

The training will take place in Dublin, at the Arthur Cox offices, and is sure to be a perfect learning environment for both seasoned practitioners or those just stepping up to the top job.

The training will be delivered by Doroth Dalton, the editor of Governance magazine, who is a leading expert on the topic of governance and who advises several national UK charities. The second trainer for the day will be Philip Smith, a partner at Arthur Cox, who specialises in both pension and charity law.

The agenda for the day, which kicks off 9.30am and ends at 4.15pm, is a packed and varied one which will include sessions on:

  • Roles and expectations of chairs and trustees;
  • Refreshing the board and finding new trustees;
  • A case study of where things went wrong;
  • Developing a learning organisation – why reviewing performance is important even at board level.

Download the full agenda / registration form attachment below.

The trainings filled up quite quickly last year so you are advised to get in touch early to avoid disappointment.

You can secure your place by ringing the Boardmatch Ireland office (01-671 5005) or by emailing Eva Gurn: eva@boardmatchireland.ie.
