BeLonG To Announces National Network Grant Round

BeLonG To, the national organisation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) young people has announced the commencement of the 2015 National Network Fund for LGBT youth groups.

The grant, which is open to organisations working towards the recently launched National Quality Standard in LGBT youth work, has been generously provided to BeLonG To through the National Office for Suicide Prevention (HSE). The grant will enable local youth groups and services to sustain or increase the number of hours that LGBT young people have access to supports within their local communities.

At the announcement, BeLonG To’s National Network Manager, John Duffy said, “The continuation of financial and experiential support that we provide to the many LGBT youth groups across the country is a vital component in our mission to ensure that there are safe and supportive services to LGBT young people nationwide.”

BeLonG To’s national development programme began in 2007 as a result of the demand and need to support LGBT young people across the country. The network now boasts 22 groups in 14 counties.
