Anti-smoking X-Hale Awards Re-opens for Applications

X-HALE Youth Awards Short Film Competition 2014 is now open for applications. X-HALE aims to help prevent young people from starting to smoke and supports youth groups and Youthreach around Ireland to explore the area. In 2013, X-HALE supported 31 youth groups and Youthreach and across Ireland and received 38 entries for the X-HALE short film competition

For 2014 funding is available to youth groups to make a 2-minute film about young people and smoking. Successful groups will:

  • Receive a €500 grant to support them making their film
  • Be invited to attend a film making workshop in their region in April 2014 – (max of: 3 young people and 2 leaders)
  • Receive a free start up resource pack
  • Research and make a 2 minute film that helps prevent young people from starting to smoke
  • Enter their film in X-HALE Short Film Comp & Festival 2014.
