Win one of three €3,000 cash prizes for your charity, club or association!

The Wheel launched the 'Better Together!' campaign in Dublin on Wednesday, 13 October, to showcase the great work going on in community / voluntary / charitable organisations.

The launch of Better Together! We are now asking all members of The Wheel to see how they can get involved in this campaign as we need to develop a powerful momentum involving our almost 1,000 members so that this important campaign can be successful. Involvement offers you a unique new way for you to tell your story to the public (and there's also the incentive of a €3,000 prize too!)

You can get involved in a number of ways:

  • Make a 2-minute videoand submit your video at  www.bettertogether.ie. You stand a chance to win €3,000 if you do.
  • Put a ‘Better Together’ campaign logo on your website and/or your email communications to spread the word about the campaign. Download it here.
  • Download our template for communications from the ‘media’ section of the website and use it for your own communications.
  • Encourage your network of contactsto make and upload their own videos so that we can have hundreds of videos live on the site from every county in Ireland.
  • Ask your network of supporters to log onto www.bettertogether.ie to vote for their favourite video (or for your one, if you have one!) and thus help a group to win €3,000 in cash.
  • Follow the campaign on Facebook and Twitter and send it to your on-line friends to spread the word.
  • Nominate your ‘Charity Hero’ on our Facebook page ( The winner will €1000 to donate tho his/her cause). .

Visit www.bettertogether.ie to submit your video, or to see how other organisations are getting involved.

If all this ‘social media stuff’ is too intimidating for you, read ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’ our easy-to-use guide to making a 2-minute video especially written for this competition. Download a free copy here.

Remember, the reason we are doing this is because it will benefit individual organisations by raising public awareness of their work, and the wider sector by building a greater understanding of the scope and diversity of charitable and voluntary activity in Ireland. By getting on board with this, you'll be helping your organisaiton and the wider sector at the same time.
