The Carmelite Community centre is located on Aungier Street in the heart of Dublin City. It provides meeting space and activities for a large variety of local groups and visitors and is a very central part of life for the people of Dublin 2 and 8.

The key responsabilities of the reception assistant are: 

  • To meet and greet visitors to the Community Centre
  • To answer the phone and direct calls in a friendly and courteous manner
  • To answer guest queries
  • Light administrative duties such as taking messages for management
  • Attend training and development programs as required by the CE supervisor and assistant

Skills needed:

  • Good communication skills and pleasent manner
  • Fluent English 
  • Child Protection Awareness
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good telephone manner

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those over 21 years of age and over. Applicants must also be in receipt of an Irish social welfare payment for 1 year or more.
