Term: Fixed Term 1-year Contract; Full Time 39 hours per week
 
Áiseanna Tacaíochta (ÁT) Mission Statement is To provide leadership and support in Ireland to empower those of us who have disabilities to direct our own lives and enjoy the same equality and freedoms as non-disabled citizens. Based in North Dublin, We are the first organisation in Ireland to offer a Direct Payments model to people with disabilities. We provide leadership and support to our members - who we call Leaders - empowering them to live with the independence and freedom they are entitled to.
 
About the Opportunity: The Member Relations executive will report to the  Member Relations Manager and duties will include:
  • Provide the necessary support for new members of ÁT to become independently established
  • Provide the necessary ongoing support for existing members of ÁT
  • Interact with HSE with and on behalf of members
  • Provide support and guidance to members around policies and procedures, risk management and specific training requirements, to ensure compliance
  • Support the development of local leadership among people with disabilities
The position will be based in ÁT’s head office in North Dublin. Some travel within Ireland will be required. Salary will be commensurate with the level of skills and experience. ÁT is an equal opportunities employer.
 
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven track record and clear knowledge of best practice in supporting people with a disability and their families
  • An understanding of the philosophy of Independent Living
  • Ability to manage, develop & evaluate the delivery of the ÁT direct payments model
  • Experience in working collaboratively with individuals and their families
  • Proven track record in efficiently managing dynamic work streams
  • Highly motivated, ability to analyse problems and develop and devise creative and effective strategies to address same
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team
  • Full clean drivers licence  Fluency in English language both oral and written.
Desirable Requirements:
Relevant third level qualification or equivalent
Experience of non-profit organisations
