South Dublin Voluntary Groups CLG (SDVG) is a coalition of organisations from the community, voluntary and non-profit sector, who operate a large, successful Community Employment (CE) scheme. We are currently recruiting for the following role based in one of our affiliated projects, South Area Youth Service (SAYS).

SAYS offers the people of the community a variety of supports and services.

The key responsibilities of a Project Support Worker would be…

• Setting up / setting down for community activities
• To support our free community food programme
• Receiving and preparing incoming supplies.
• Processing daily attendance sheets and initial membership forms.
• To support our Community Gardening Programme
• To assist in our young people activities
• To support occasional outings and treats for the various community group activities

Skills Needed (or a readiness to learn)
• Good Communication Skills and pleasant manner.
• Food Hygiene Awareness
• Basic Computer Skills
• Child Protection Awareness

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over. Applicants must also be in receipt of an Irish social welfare payment for 1 year or more.
