Overseas Aid Cut Yet Again
After enduring funding cuts in recent budgets, overseas aid has been targeted for further cuts in Budget 2011.
€35m will be taken out of the budget for 2011, leaving €668m available to fund various projects throughout the developing world.
John O'Shea of GOAL has warned that the cuts must be made in the right place.
"Massive savings can be made without any discernible impact by immediately halting the appalling practice of government-to-government aid to corrupt and brutal regimes," he said.
